TTS Chrome Extension
Using TTS from google translate and HTML5 Audio object, I created an extension to speak the titles of the search results in variety of sites.
When i was starting with Android the first time I did was Talking Caller that involves TTS, now history repeats itself,
while this is not my first chrome extension (Twitter Search Header Fix)
this is the first one that has more than 3 lines of code therefore its more considered to be a real extension.
Google TTS can only speak 100 letters. If Google is willing to raise the limit or other online TTS company willing to give thier TTS service for free then just contact me on my gmail, http://almondmendoza.com (add @gmail in between)
2) Why just chrome extension and not build a firefox one?
First of all, i wanted to use everything that is on the web and Google TTS returns MPEG based audio which if I use HTML5 audio object, Firefox doesn't support it. Another reason, i dont want to use flash, mainly because i dont have the money to buy Adobe products nor study and use flex or other open alternative to make swf.
